What is the Be Present Program?
Be Present is a volunteer educational support program dedicated to improving our children’s education. Volunteers serve as a support mechanism to the classroom teacher.
The program was formed as a collaborative effort between Scott Institute of Learning, Prince Hall Masonic Order and Bethune Academy. Be Present instructions reinforce to each child that through education, hard work and goal setting, the children can create a successful future. The results are that students have a better understanding they can become whatever they choose.
If you want to be part of this exciting, revolutionary transformation that will inspire and motivate the next generation of thinkers, all we are asking is that volunteers care enough to show up and be present one hour each week.
The first recruitment/training session for the 2013-2014 school year will be held at 10:00 AM, September 18 at Bethune Academy.
All sessions are held at Bethune Academy
